this book was action-packed and very exciting to read. scorpia was different than other alex rider books because along with the basic mystery there is another one, not about saving the world, but about alex and his father, john rider. just when you tink one thing is going to happen, something totally differemt does so don't expect anything (especially at the end).
at this part i screamed, OH NO HE DIDNT. The book starts out where alex is in venice italy.he went there on a few words a friend said at the end of eagle strike, i quote,"go to venice, find scorpia, and you will find your destiny".this began alex's endless serch around the whole town of venice.When alex meets julia rothman, the leader of scorpia, and she shows alex a vido of the day his fater died, he makes the decision to join scorpia. So loud my teacher looked at me, so did the students. to tell him hed been in one twisted state of mind.Then, julia and nile find out about his traitory.Then a huge climatic fight scene occurs between alex, nile, and julia.nile gets dropped oiff a balcony 12 feet above.When the book concludes, Julia gets a sattalite dropped on her head. one day i want it for myself.Anthony is a great writer and should continue this series. that was embarissing.
HOW DARE THEY KILL HER OFF. When the plot reached this point i yelled out in class, WHAT. and again all eyes were on me.Julia was my favorite charecter after all. After a failed attempt to take mrs jones life, alex winds up back on the other end of this drastic war.struggling to find an even ground so he can play both ends, alex winds up ALmost dieing over it.Today i still dont understand what kept alex so attatched that he had to play BOTH Ends of the war.Maybe ill never know.Alex continued to fight both ends, till he found out what scorpia was planning.He then made up his mind to go back to where he started, and finish defeating scorpia. all it took was a realization to give him a wakeup call. Ahem anyway, i love this book so much.I want to see another book with this theme sometime in the future.AND BRING BACK JULIA.Ive read this book 5 times, 3 times this year, two times last year.

this was a great book and I thoroughly enjoyed the book and got the best of it at the end I was praying for more. The book just gave me an electric jolt of exitment. I love it
Readers who have read even one book in Alex Rider series are those who I encourage the most to read this. In this great book Alex is back with MI6 to stop the organization that killed his father, Scorpia. Anthony Horowitz has made one of the most thrilling and action packed adventures in the Alex Rider series. I also give caution to those who have not read any in the series because those who do could get lost easy.If I had to rate this book, I would give it a four out of five, five being the greatest. Alex will uncover many dark secrets about his past as well as yet again save the world, or will he. This spy novel has greatly developed characters, action, adventure, and suspense. Readers will be interested from the moment they pick up this page turner until they set it down. This book is one of the greatest of the Alex Rider series.
But there's the ending. The fifth book in the series, "SCORPIA," is the best--meaning most twisted thrill ride of them all (and that's saying a lot).It's weird that this "young adult" series follows a formula of sorts: bad guys/gals of some kind threatening some part of the world in some way with Alex Rider, a 14-year-old kid who brings them all down and thwarts their evil plans. I'm supposed to read "grown-up" literature (which I do), but I cannot resist this Alex Rider series. What a great read. Can he.Suffice it to say, he will escape an underwater cellar in Venice, BASE-jump onto the roof of a pharmaceutical building and miraculously escape being blown to bits, well, you get the idea. What a team.
It's how writer/creator Anthony Horowitz manages to get Alex out of his incredible situations AND make them believable, so-to-speak. Nope, none of this is spoilers because each novel follows the formula, so-to-speak. The plot elements are so wild, so imaginative, so incredible that none of this should work, but it does. Each new novel in the series is a new challenge: Can Horowitz pull it off again. I'm a grown-up. SCORPIA has created an "invisible sword," which it plans to use to kill thousands of 12-13 year old British schoolboys unless the United States meets certain demands, which of course they won't. How will Alex be part of this.
Fantastic goings-on in this book. Incredible escapes. It is an acronym for "sabotage, corruption, intelligence, assassination." One of the eleven directors is Julia Rothman, a beautiful but deadly woman who recruits Alex into the organization. Oh, throw in wildly imaginative ways for Alex to be killed and how he escapes them all. Oh my, Horowitz cannot be serious.Alex Rider.
"SCORPIA" is simply the most amazing in the series.What is SCORPIA. Yeah, yeah, he's been working for M16, Britain's intelligence organization, but now he's turning to the other side. Anthony Horowitz. "Ark Angel" is next.
